Max MSP Coding
A patch that generatively plays a piece of music from a set of instructions and changes autonomously.Â
Created entirely in Cycling 74's Max MSP (Synthesis, processing, mixing)
Sound Design: Synthesised all elements, including pads, bass, and a TR-808 inspired drum kit, layering found sound recordings.
Generative Techniques: Programmed harmonic and rhythmic elements to randomise within set parameters, with a 16-bar cycle driving changes in chords, drum patterns, and instrument levels.
Liveliness and Dynamics: Introduced LFOs for subtle modulation, sidechain compression for rhythmic drive.
Interface Design: Developed a minimalist UI with eight sliders, each controlling specific effects like overdrive and LFO frequency.
